Local Corofin Fiddle Player to Release Debut Album

Sunday the 3rd of March at 3pm in Teach Ceoil Corofin will see the launch of “Chance Encounters, Last minute notions”, the debut album by local musician David Sanders. This release is part of The Corofin Tradfest, 2024.

David has been playing the fiddle for over forty years having been inspired and encouraged along the way by the likes of Gus Tierney and Tony Linnane. He has spent his life involved in sessions all over county Clare and is currently a member of Shaskeen.

The album contains a wide variety of diverse influences which reflect David’s interest in music, from traditional reels and jigs to American waltzes etc..

The launch will comprise of a short interview with Eoin O’Neill followed by the official launch by special guest Jack Talty.

There will then be a performance of tunes and songs from the album by a host of musicians including the one and only Katie Theasby.

Admission is free and we look forward to seeing you all there – It promises to be a great evening – not to be missed – See you there
